FILL IT UP

We think our bowls should last longer than your grandpa’s stories. That’s why we use wood and finishes that we know can withstand the wear and tear of daily living.

SEE how GOOD they FEEL

What does a Seventh String Bowl feel like in your hands? A silky sheet. Polished sea glass. The soft skin of a cool nectarine.
Our bowls feel so smooth to the touch, people often ask about our sanding technique. But really, that smooth quality originates with the turning, and ends with the finishing. If a bowl is turned properly, it doesn’t need much sanding. A well-turned bowl is like a piece of art; with innovative techniques, our craftspeople can replicate that art, again and again.

Finishing is the final stage where we literally put our mark on your bowl. We use a combination of finishes: a hard wax to make the wood more durable and resistant, and a protective beeswax that we hand rub onto the wood until it gleams. Both are certified food safe, and will help to keep your bowl looking its best.

Each bowl is engraved with our brand and the wood species, so you know exactly what to order next time.

CRAFTED to ENDURE

We stand behind every bowl we make.

The life of a tree is evident in the markings left on the wood—much like on the faces of those we cherish. And like the family tree, each one is unique. Every bowl we turn has its own personality and character, shaped by nature and hand alike. With the passing of time, that character deepens and evolves, making your Seventh String Bowl a little more interesting—just like you. With a bit of care, it will serve beautifully for generations to come.
