SKAGIT VALLEY

Our bowl mill is located at Pacific Rim Tonewoods, where we’ve milled wood for guitar makers for over 35 years. We source much of our Big Leaf Maple for our bowls right here in the Skagit Valley, and red Alder from within 50 miles of the mill.

HOME grown LOCALLY sourced

Many of us grew up in these nearby communities, and we’re proud to call them home.
We see ourselves as more than a tonewood mill—we like to be good neighbors who care for people and forests alike. We’ve built a team, most of them local, who enjoy sharing ideas and take real pride in their craft. In the wider community, it’s not just our solar power that flows back into the grid; many of our employees also give their time and talents to local causes.
Our work is hands-on and long-term: from researching disease-resistant koa seedlings to propagating figured maple trees, we aim to add value to our business, the local economy, and the people who work with us.

Located in Washington’s Skagit Valley, Pacific Rim Tonewoods has spent more than three decades sourcing, milling, and refining high-quality wood for some of the world’s leading instrument makers. Their precision process and respect for nature’s resources, reflect the same values we hold in our own workshop. By turning select wood into finely crafted wooden bowls, our operation extends the mill’s resources. In turn, we add value to every log that passes through the mill—and in doing so, help support the people and community that make this work possible.
