HOW to CARE for YOUR BOWL
LASTING FINISH
Every Seventh String Bowl is finished with a plant based hardwax that soaks into the wood and hardens from within. This food safe finish creates a natural barrier against stains, water and normal wear, without feeling coated. A final hand-buffed layer of beeswax adds a soft sheen and an extra touch of protection.
Our bowls are made for everyday serving. They are not intended for hot foods or liquids. Do not put them in the dishwasher or microwave, or leave them soaking.
EVERYDAY CARE
- After use, wipe your bowl with a soft, damp cloth.
- Dry it with a towel and set it somewhere water can’t collect underneath.
- For stubborn spots, use warm water and a drop of mild dish soap on a soft cloth.
- Don’t scrub, and don’t use abrasive pads or harsh chemicals.
- Don’t leave fruit sitting in the bowl for long. Moldy spots can stain the wood beyond repair.
A LITTLE EXTRA ATTENTION
- Over time, the wax layer may lose some of its luster. Restore it with a dab of beeswax-based wood butter: rub it on, let it sit, then wipe and buff with a clean cotton cloth.
