When it comes to natural wood products, the marks of time are inevitable, and we think, add character and depth. With just a little care, you can help your bowl age beautifully.
HOW to CARE for YOUR BOWL
LASTING FINISH
Every Seventh String Bowl is finished with a hardwax oil that penetrates deep into the wood and hardens from within. This certified food-safe finish creates a natural barrier against stains, water, and normal wear—without feeling over-coated. A final hand-buffed layer of beeswax adds a soft sheen and an extra touch of protection. Cared for properly, your bowl will age gracefully and serve you well for years. Here are a few tips to keep your bowl looking its best.
EVERYDAY CARE
- Immediately after use, wipe your bowl with a soft damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth.
- Dry with a towel and set somewhere water can’t collect underneath.
- Do not scrub or use harsh chemicals.
- For stubborn spots, use a soft cloth, warm water, and a drop of mild dish soap.
- Avoid scrubbing or abrasive pads.
- Do not place in the dishwasher or microwave.
A LITTLE EXTRA ATTENTION
- Over time, the beeswax finish may lose some of its luster. Restore it easily with a dab of our Bowl Butter (available with purchase). Rub on, let sit, then wipe and buff with a clean cotton cloth.
- Avoid leaving fruit sitting too long in the bowl—moldy spots can stain the wood beyond repair.
